Allwood Stillwell Stairs & Railings, Inc. is a third-generation wood stair and railing manufacturer. We have been dedicated to superb craftsmanship and customer satisfaction for over 74 years.
Since 1946 we have served the Hudson Valley region of NY (Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, and Fairfield County, CT). We have steadily built our business by supplying high-quality wood stairs and rails to small home renovation specialists, local homeowners, and many of the largest contractors in the area — our valued customers.
Our educated, talented and enthusiastic staff take great pride in working with homeowners, contractors, designers, and architects to produce a high-quality product that suits the client’s needs.
Building Custom Wood Stairs and Rails
We custom craft wood stairs and railings from top quality materials in our 8,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Goldens Bridge, NY; it is the largest in Westchester and Putnam counties.
A 74 YEAR HISTORY OF STAIRBUILDING
Bruce’s grandfather Biaggo Capua and his oldest son Dan founded Stillwell Stairbuilders in 1946. Bruce’s father Benjamin, took over the business in 1966 and then Dan founded Danbury Stairs in Danbury, CT in 1967. Continuing the legacy of his father and his grandfather, Bruce became president of Stillwell Stairbuilders. in 1996. Under his direction, Stillwell Stairbuilders became Allwood Stillwell Stairs & Railings, Inc., a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility was built to complement the old-world craftsmanship the company has always prided itself upon.
